Chardonnay
A green skinned grape originally from Burgundy France. It is the most commonly known white wine in the United States and is a staple on almost every wine list. Our Chardonnay is made in a neutral, non-oaked, fashion that brings out the grapes true flavors. It has a strong crispy mineral texture with flavors of green plum, apple, and pear. Pairs well with all white dishes as well as a great friend.

This fruit wine, made with jalapeños, is a slap of chilled sweetness and fiery spice in a glass. Here at Libations, we like having it added to mules for that extra kick.
Enjoy the sweet flavor of Niagara grapes freshly plucked from the vine. Our best-selling white!
Wilmington White
This is our most popular white wine. Talk about a luscious, sweet taste and its candied, lemon rind aroma.
The green Niagara grape is large and juicy and native to North America, just like its cousin, the purple Concord. Although sweet, Wilmington White is not a dessert wine. It goes with food, or just for fun.
Wine and food are two of life’s great treasures. Pairing a good wine with your food doesn’t take a master’s degree, but there are a few pointers that make it easy.
Wilmington White always adds to the enjoyment of salads, cheeses and lighter fare. Salty foods can cover up the sweetness of this sweet wine, although it will enhance the fruit flavors of the wine. Your personal preference is paramount when matching wines and foods. If you like it, then it’s good.
A sweet Concord wine with an intense grape flavor. When in doubt, give this a try… it’s our perennial best seller!
Volant Red
“The Red” is a sweet wine with an intense grape flavor. Its refreshing fruit flavor has made it our perennial best-seller and a mainstay at our winery.
This wine is meant to pair with salami and other “charcuterie” meats, as well as lasagna, grilled sausage and ribs. We suggest you drink it young and chilled.
Vitis labrusca is a zesty purple/red grape with a slight floral nose. This grape is well suited to the climate and soil of Western Pennsylvania and is a very popular varietal in this region.
It’s hard to have only one glass, so pour one and go for the gusto!
Originally from France, this cross between a Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc is world known as a full-bodied heavy red with heavy tannins. Our Cabernet has great depth with warm spicy undertones of black cherry.

Sweet red with a refreshing fruity tartness, reminiscent of a “Jolly Rancher” candies.
Fredonia
Our Fredonia is a light, fruity red wine with a refreshing burst of tartness at the end of the sip.
It starts out as a blue Fredonia grape, from which we create a pleasantly sweet wine with a lively, fruity aroma. It feels round on your palate, smooth and explosive of flavor.
That little zip of acidity, coupled with the fact that this wine is best served chilled, makes this the perfect summer red for neighborhood barbeques, lounging by the pool, or enjoying with a delicious spring greens salad!
Our traditional hard cider, masterfully updated. Sweeter, with a little less bite, and a little more apple.
Ben’s Cider
This cider gets its name from one of America’s most notorious Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin.
Ben’s Cider is made using a centuries-old recipe. The new addition is barrel-aged for 18 months before bottling. This allows for the perfect balance of sweetness and oak. We typically serve our Ben’s Cider chilled, though on a cold evening, it can be warmed for a truly relaxing experience.
Luscious, sweet, and balanced, this wine is bursting with the flavor of sun-ripened blackberries. Enjoy alone, or serve with dessert.
Blackberry
Luscious, sweet and balanced, this wine is bursting with the flavor of sun-ripened blackberries. The wine’s nose, or aroma, is incredibly fruity. It smells almost like you’re in an orchard surrounded by fruit.
There’s not even a hint of bitterness. And the sweet finish on the back of your tongue will make you smile and say, “Ahhh.”
Enjoy this bright purple libation alone or serve with dessert.
This wine has a smooth silky velvet peach taste. Amazingly liquor like texture, it is loved by all. This is a Southern summer in a bottle.
Peach

The juicy sweetness of ripe Pennsylvania grapes is balanced with the bite of cranberries. The benefits of both fruits blended into one delicious combination.
Cran-Grape
Our proprietary blend of wine and cranberry juices are lovingly merged to create Cran-Grape wine. And that’s exactly what it tastes like … the sweet grape wine gets a boost from the slightly tart cranberries.
Early European settlers in America named the cranberry bush “craneberry” because the plant’s flower, stem and petals resembled the neck, head, and bill of a crane. But you won’t have to strain your neck deciding how to enjoy this wine.
It’s smooth on the palate and gentle on the nose.
A perfect, golden autumn day captured in a bottle, this wine is sweet and refreshing… just like that first bite! Excellent chilled, or mulled with spices.
Apple
The crisp, sweet taste you get from the first bite of a freshly picked whole apple is the flavor you can expect from our Apple wine.
Apples from three Western Pennsylvania orchards make up the juice for this wine. It’s a blend of apple varieties, including Macintosh, Johnny Reds and Red Delicious.
Apples are not a subtle fruit, and neither is this wine. It has a bold apple taste and aroma.
Isn’t there an old saying?; a glass of Apple wine a day keeps the doctor away?
No? Well, it should.
Creative serving suggestions:
– For a delightful autumn treat, warm a bottle of our apple wine, half a bottle’s worth of water (or apple cider), brown sugar to taste (about ¼ – ½ cup) and a pouch of our mulling spices in a saucepan on the stove or in a crock pot. Do not boil. Allow the mulling spices to steep until the desired flavor is attained (approximately 1-2 hours) and serve warm.
– Marinade pork chops or a pork roast in this wine for a delicious, moist, and flavorful dinner. Simply place the meat in a container or Ziplock bag, add wine to cover, and season to taste. I suggest salt, freshly ground pepper, chopped onion, garlic and rosemary, but feel free to experiment!
Place bag or container in the refrigerator and allow the magic to happen! Chops may only need a few hours, but I have allowed roasts to soak for 2 days or longer. Use your best judgement, depending on the cut of meat you have chosen. When you are ready to cook, remove the meat to a baking dish, discard the marinade, and bake at 350 degrees until cooked through (the FDA recommends an internal temperature of 145 degrees). Enjoy!
Sweet and fruity with distinct notes of pink grapefruit. Perfect for relaxing on the porch, watching the sunset over the horizon.
Pink Catawba
This sweet blush-hued wine starts as a pink grape, with a “slip-skin” – an easily removed skin that leaves the juicy pulp whole when removed.
Then it ends up a delight in your glass. Its aroma is sweet and fruity. After your first sip, the taste fills the front of your mouth with a light pink grapefruit tone, but without any bitterness. And the finish is smooth to the end.
The Catawba vines like our hot, humid Western Pennsylvania summers and frigid winters. The grape is harvested later than its brother- and-sister grape varieties, giving the grape an extra richness that is easily found in its taste.
This is the wine to serve when the barbecue is hot. It goes well with grilled pork or spicy, Cajun-style meals.
Smooth and crisp with notes of citrus and a dry finish, this wine’s delicately floral aroma adds depth and interest. Excellent with mild cheeses, pork, and poultry.
Vidal Blanc
Our Vidal Blanc is a light, almost dry white wine with undertones of citrus and melon. It is a perfect accompaniment to lighter-tasting foods, such as fish, pork, poultry, salads and cheese. It is well balanced, evening out the sweetness and acidity. It is bright, with high clarity in the glass.
Vidal blanc is a naturally sweet tasting hybrid grape that was developed for northern French climates, but is widely grown in the Northern United States and in Canada. The grape is suited to cooler climates because it naturally ripens earlier in the growing season and can be picked before it gets cool in Western Pennsylvania.
Although we have fermented most of the sugar out of our Vidal Blanc, its natural fruitiness attracts both dry-wine and sweet-wine drinkers because of its luscious semi-dryness on the palate with a light crisp finish.
Serve well chilled.
This fragrantly fruity semi-sweet wine is perfect if you prefer sweet wine but don’t want to overwhelm your meal.
Delaware
Our Delaware wine gives off a very pleasant, grapey aroma (or nose). It’s light in color, with a light, sweet fruity taste. This is a wine for all seasons.
The tiny grape starts out pinkish, but ferments into a rich, golden-toned color that invites the sun’s rays to shine through it.
It’s sweet, but not too sweet. The Delaware wine pairs especially well with light flavored foods, including chicken, fish, mild cheeses and pasta. But personal preference always trumps what the experts say, so choose the wine you like and enjoy whatever food you select to go with it.
Smooth and sweet like the autumn air; this wine has the honeyed richness of a perfect October afternoon. Our Riesling is harvested late for that Ice Wine character.
Riesling
The late-harvest Riesling is sweet and crisp, just like the autumn air. After all the grapes in our vineyards are picked, we come back to the Riesling vines and start cultivating this white grape when it’s cold outside, well past the normal picking time.
Because the grape is on the vine for the spring, summer and the fall, the over-ripe grape gets an intense flavor and bold fruitiness. It has an Ice Wine character; a little more time on the vine and it would become a doubly more expensive Ice Wine.
Most white wines pair well with fish or pork, but because of its balance of sugar and acidity, our golden-hued Riesling can stand up to the stronger spices in Asian or Mexican foods, as well.
The aromas are deep and rich in fruit and flowers.
Serve well chilled.
Expressive aromas of pineapple and tropical fruit. This crisp, fruity wine has an intriguing floral aroma that provides the perfect balance to its sweet palate. Pair with a good book and a sunny window for a pleasant afternoon.
Edelweiss
This wine is a trip down Germany’s Rhine River. It is a German-style wine, fruity and full of flavor.
The Von Trapp family may sing about the Edelweiss flower, but we sing the praises of this wine. It has a fairly recent breeding, being developed in 1980, and bred to be tough and hardy. It is harvested early in order to have the sweetest flavor.
Its aroma is definitely floral and its flavor is crisp and cool.
This wine pairs well with all lighter flavored foods, including chicken, fish, mild cheeses and pasta.
Sweet red wine blended with cocoa, reminiscent of the flavor of a Cherry Tootsie Pop!
Cocoa Vino
It’s time for dessert. Bring out the cheesecake and Cocoa Vino!
There are other “chocolate wines” on the market. But they are made with chocolate, which is creamy. Cocoa Vino, on the other hand, is made with cocoa.
As you fill a glass, you’ll see that the pour looks like wine. It’s a deep, clear red, not milky in any way. Then comes the aroma of cocoa and then the taste… rich and fruity followed by a burst of cocoa. It’s a red Tootsie Pop in a glass!
Picture this with tiramisu or cheesecake … or as a dessert all on its own.
A blissfully smooth, mellow, and light semi-dry wine. The perfect wine for those who are just beginning to develop a taste for drier reds. An excellent compliment to pasta and marinara.
Dechaunac
Looking for a semi-dry, red wine? Dechaunac is neither too fruity nor too dry. It’s reminiscent of a light-bodied Pinot Noir, but the Dechaunac grape grows better than Pinot does in our Western Pennsylvania climate and shorter growing season.
The color is light and the taste is crisp on the palate. It has a long, pleasant finish. It’s considered well-balanced, with only mild tannins, which produce dryness.
Because it is not at either extreme of the sweetness scale, Dechaunac pairs well with most foods, from meats to pasta to chicken. Oh, yes, and don’t forget pizza.
This is one of the three wines we grow the grapes for ourselves in Fredonia, PA.
